摘 要:Traditional statistical methods are facing challenges and opportunities with the big data movement in many application areas. Data aggregation arises as one way to reduce the sample size, and it calls for new statistical methodological development. In this talk, we investigate a real big data case from international large-scale educational assessments and present a new interval-valued data analysis. Two-way heterogeneity is studied across samples and variables, for which we propose the errors-in-variables models for regression purpose. Computational issues will be addressed. Possible model extensions will also be discussed.
报告人简介:张爱军博士,现任香港大学统计及精算学系助理教授。他于2009年获得美国密歇根大学统计学博士学位,曾多年任职于美国银行及美银美林从事大规模信贷资产风险管理。回归学术界后,张博士首先致力于在线教育与教育大数据分析研究,他现在的研究方向包括数据挖掘、机器学习、试验设计和信贷风险建模。
